Nothing and Everything

Sorry that I haven't been able to update as much as I had hoped. Things are still very busy here. It's been so odd returning to normal, every day life. After my week of rehearsals and watching the show every night, going back to all my day jobs pretty much killed my happy place. There have been a couple of good developments however that have gotten me back into gear.

First, I got a little shoutout on Twitter this past week from the Chicago Tribune (from the Colonel himself) for their FollowFriday. To be honest, it means absolutely nothing. I didn't even gain a single follower from it, but it was still a neat little thing to happen in my world. I love Twitter and the fact that I got recognition from someone who has 812,789 followers is RAD.

Second, I got news today that I'm being flown out to New York City for rehearsals with the director! Hooray! It's sooner than I expected (the 23rd - 25th) so I'm a little scared/overwhelmed at how much brushup work I have to do between now and then. But YEAY! New York! And rehearsing! (my favorite)

My new luggage also arrived. It's PINK. I love it.

I had my last day at Day Job #2 on Saturday, and it made me pretty sad. They've been a wonderful company to work for. But the good thing is that they said they'll take me back when I return to the city (if they have room available). See? Wonderful company. Day job #1 - that's another story that I won't be getting into. It's extremely stressful right now. I've still got one week left there, and it's a big one. I'll miss my co-workers A LOT. I don't think they know how much to be honest. They have kept me sane through many a trial and tribulation. But it's not like I'm disappearing forever. I'll be back in the city in a few months and who knows what will happen then? (Hopefully, I'll get an agent and never have to sit at a desk again. *keeps dreaming*)

Also had my last church gig on Sunday as well. I thought I was going to be able to go back for one more morning, but that's not going to happen now that I'm flying to New York. So I'm pretty bummed about that. I love my church job. We sing beautiful music and they are the most fun group of singers to work with. I'll miss them.

So yes, it's been a busy few weeks. Not much has happened, but it's still full of everything awesome.
